Man Utd player ratings: Midfield

DM: Kobbie Mainoo (7.5/10) - There is no doubt that Mainoo is the find of this season for Manchester United. Although he is just 18, he looked better on the pitch than most midfielders. He looked calm with the ball and it seems that he will have a bright future at United.

CM: Christian Eriksen (7/10) - Whenever Eriksen plays in the midfield for Manchester United, they seem to become a different team. He is not that expansive in his game and brings calmness to United's midfield. That is why he is a pivotal part of Ten Hag's team.

  • SUB: Scott McTominay (4.5/10) - Ten Hag brought McTominay in place of Eriksen and that was a controversial decision as he looked like a passenger. He had nothing to offer and after he came on, Spurs seemed to control the midfield as he was nowhere to be seen on the pitch.

AM: Bruno Fernandes (6.5/10) - In the first half, Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, looked elite. His passing was like Kevin De Bryune. However, he looked lost in the second half and he failed to have any impact on the game once Spurs got the second goal.
