The last time Nottingham Forest won at Anfield was in 1969. So, the task for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men was humongous. But, they delivered. Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest after 65 years thanks to a stunner from Callum Hudson-Odoi.

In the defence of Liverpool, Trend Alexander-Arnold (6/10) did play some good passes in the game but was found wanting at times. Ibrahima Konate (7/10) did well defensively and was physical in front of the Forest attack. Virgil van Dijk (7/10) produced a solid performance against Chris Wood. Andy Robertson (6/10) didn’t face too much threat defensively and provided nothing going forward.

His passing, finishing, and creating a threat, everything looked off today. Diogo Jota (5/10) didn’t look sharp and had three shots in the game. Luis Diaz (6/10) did hit the post early in the game. However, he was not at his sharpest.

For the substitutes, Darwin Nunez (5/10) came on for Jota and tried his best. Cody Gakpo (5/10) came on for Luis Diaz but failed to offer much. Conor Bradley (6/10) came on and played as the right-back giving Trent the freedom to play in the centre of the park. Kostas Tsimikas (5/10) came on for Robertson and didn’t provide much either. Curtis Jones (5/10) came on for Konate to provide more going forward but failed. The Liverpool manager Arne Slot (4/10) was tactically outclassed today as he had no answers to Nuno’s counter-attacking game.
