Liverpool played hosts to Luton Town in a very crucial match they had to win as Manchester City was breathing on their neck. The Reds were trailing in the first half. However, in the second half, Liverpool showed why they are the Premier League leaders this season. Even without Salah, Nunez, and Trent, Liverpool got the job done and stretched their lead to 4 points. So, how did Liverpool players perform in this Premier League game against Luton Town? Let's start this Liverpool player ratings vs Luton with the Reds goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher (6.5/10). He did concede early in the game. However, since then, he looked solid. Initially, Conor Bradley (7/10) looked quiet. But, in the second half, he got much better. Jarell Quansah (7/10) was getting tested by Chong however, he recovered well to put up a solid performance. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk (8/10) was one of the man-of-the-match contenders in this game as he was solid in defence and scored the equalizer for the Reds. Joe Gomez (5.5/10) had to play as the right-back and he was getting outpaced by Ogbene.

As far as the midfield goes for Liverpool in this game, Ryan Gravenberch (5.5/10) put in a shift but it was a lot left to be desired. Wataru Endo (6/10) was struggling against the press of Luton and had an avergae game. The star of the midfield was surely Alexis Mac Allister (7.5/10) as he played a key role in opening Luton's press.

When it comes to the attack for the Reds. as expected, Luis Diaz (8/10) started on the left and he was surely the man-of-the-match as he was a menace to Luton's defence. Cody Gakpo (7.5/10) missed some sitters but got a goal to show at least. Salah didn't play and so, Harvey Elliot (7.5/10) played from the right and he did get a goal as well.

For the substitutes of Liverpool vs Luton Town, Andy Robertson (6/10) came in for Conor Bradley in the 67th minute and did a good job. Gravenberch wasn't having the best of games and so, he was replaced by Bobby Clark (6/10) in the 78th minute. As for the manager, Jurgen Klopp (8/10) will not be happy with the first-half performance of Liverpool.
