Let’s start this Liverpool player ratings vs Bologna in the Champions League with the goalkeeper of the Reds Alisson Becker (8/10). The Brazilian international was superb producing some key saves to keep Bologna at bay.

In the defence for Liverpool vs Bologna, Trent Alexander-Arnold (6/10) had a fiery content against Ndoye and failed to come out on top in that battle. Ibrahima Konate (7/10) was brilliant at winning aerial duels and getting those blocks in to prevent Bologna from causing mayhem. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk (7/10) was always cool and calm under pressure and stopped Bologna from causing trouble neatly. Andy Robertson (5/10) struggled defensively and got booked as well for pulling the shirt of a Bologna player.

As far as the midfield goes for the Reds, Ryan Gravenberch (7/10) was brilliant at the heart of the midfield as he won most of his battles. Alexis Mac Allister (7/10) got on the scoresheet as he opened the scoring for Liverpool and hardly put a foot wrong after that. Dominik Szoboszlai (7/10) got criticized for his performances right off late but you have to praise his performance tonight as was relentless throughout the game.

When it comes to the attackers for Liverpool vs Bologna, it was not the best game for Luis Diaz (6/10) as he failed to create those magical moments that he usually does. Darwin Nunez (3/10) had a game to forget as his goal was denied due to offside and his shooting and passing were wayward. Mohamed Salah (9/10) was the man of the match for Liverpool as he was causing mayhem to Bologna’s defence and scored a world-class goal for the Reds to seal the game off.

For the substitutes, Diogo Jota (7/10) came on for Darwin Nunez and it was a step up for Liverpool in the attacking third. Kostas Tsimikas (6/10) came on for Robertson and did a better job than the Scottish international.  Cody Gakpo (6/10) replaced Diaz from the left but failed to create an impact in the game. Conor Bradley (NA/10) came on for Trent and did a decent job for the time he got and the same goes for Curtis Jones (NA/10) who came on for Szoboszlai towards the end of the game. As for the manager Arne Slot (7/10), he had a chance to rotate his squad in this game but didn’t do that as Liverpool got all three points from this Champions League fixture.
