In the defence of Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold (8/10) was brilliant as his deliveries were immaculate and handled Leao brilliantly. Ibrahima Konate (7/10) did get the equalizer for the Reds but should dealt with Pulisic better during the goal Milan scored. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk (8/10) was amazing in this game as he got a goal and was dominant against Morata and Abraham. Kostas Tsimikas (6/10) was poor defensively but his perfect corner helped Van Dijk to put the Reds in front.

As far as the midfield goes for the Reds in this Milan vs Liverpool game, Alexis Mac Allister (8/10) was brilliant as he was calm while winning the balls back and setting the tempo of the game. Ryan Gravenberch (7/10) started the game slowly but got better as the game progressed. Dominik Szoboszlai (8/10) ran his heart out in this game and deserved his goal.
When it comes to the attack for Liverpool, Cody Gakpo (9/10) played in place of Diaz and was the best player for the Reds as he was agile and created chances for his teammates. Diogo Jota (6/10) was not clinical in this game as he missed chances. Mohamed Salah (7/10) was a constant threat to Milan’s defence and should have got a goal as well.

For the substitutes, Darwin Nunez (5/10) came on for Gakpo and it was a drop-off for Liverpool in the attack. Luis Diaz (7/10) should have been introduced a lot earlier in place of Jota. Joe Gomez (6/10) came on for Alexander-Arnold and did a decent job. Federico Chiesa (NA /10) and Wataru Endo (NA/10) both came on in the dying seconds of the game replacing Salah and Mac Allister. As for the manager Arne Slot (7/10), his team had a shaky start but he kept faith in his system and that helped him overcome this Milan challenge.
