According to John Percy of the Telegraph, newly promoted side Leicester City are set to confirm the signing of Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew after the two clubs were able to agree a fee on Thursday.
Percy says that Leicester City regard Ayew as a "versatile forward", with a "good appearance record" and that the club are hopeful of a signing a further two attackers before the transfer deadline next week.
Jordan Ayew's brother, Andre, is a favourite of Leicester boss Steve Cooper, having worked together at Swansea City in the Championship and then Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, and it is possible that he was consulted when this move was in the works.
Ayew has spent the last six seasons in East London with Crystal Palace, having been playing with his brother Andre at Swansea before that, as the Welsh side were relegated from the Premier League in the 17/18 season.
The soon to be 33 year old forward will be joining his compatriot and Ghana team-mate Abdul Fatawu at Leicester, with the two likely to be competing for a spot on the right hand side of Steve Cooper's attack.
Whilst Ayew will not get you many goals or assists, he is an extremely hard working player who will do the hard yards that other players might not want to do. He is a good fit for a pragmatic, hard working Steve Cooper side and you can see the Welsh manager liking him as much as he does his brother.
The fee for Ayew has been reported to be £8m, as Leicester appear to start splashing the cash as they welcomed Oliver Skipp from Spurs earlier this week. it is probably a decent fee for Palace to get too, as they seem to be going through quite a squad churn this summer.
Michael Olise joined Bayern Munich earlier this summer, Joachim Andersen looks set to join Fulham, and Marc Guehi continues to be strongly linked to Newcastle United.
Let's see if Ayew turns out to be a productive signing for Leicester City.
