Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest - Premier League: TV channel, prediction, team news and lineups
By Ben Gray
Chelsea are on the cusp of six successive victories across all competitions, most-recent achieving that in March 2022, while following 1-0 win in West London a year ago, Nottingham Forest are seeking to claim successive victories at Stamford Bridge for the first time in 116 years.
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Preview
Will Chelsea's winning streak continue? Last weekend, the Blues beat Brighton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge, with Cole Palmer the scorer of all four, becoming the first player in Premier League history to strike four times in the first half of any match. As a result, Enzo Maresca's side have climbed up to fourth in the table, unbeaten since the opening weekend, collecting 13 points from the last 15 available.
Meantime, on Thursday night, Chelsea picked up a fifth consecutive win across all competitions, this time defeating Gent 4-2 in their Conference League league phase opener; Renato Veiga, Pedro Neto, Christopher Nkunku and then Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall all on target. The positivity has certainly returned to Chelsea although, after this, their next four league fixtures pit them against Liverpool, Newcastle, Man United and Arsenal, so ascertaining three points here is pivotal.
Nottingham Forest meantime were also unbeaten in the Premier League this season, prior to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham last weekend, with a contentious penalty the difference at the City Ground.
Nevertheless, Nuno Espírito Santo's side have been more impressive than most would've anticipated, with a first league win at Anfield for 55 years their undisputed highlight, potentially offering a blueprint, as the Garibaldi Reds seek to defeat one of the other big boys on the road.
Should Forest leave West London with even a point, it would be the first time since 1995 that they've avoided defeat in each of their first four away games to start a top-flight season. Nevertheless, a victory for Chelsea certainly appears the most-likely outcome.

Chelsea Team News
Enzo Maresca made the full 11 changes for Thursday's Conference League clash, but is set to revert right back to the team that beat Brighton last weekend. Christopher Nkunku bagged his seventh goal of the season already against Gent, six of which have come in cup competitions, unable to earn a starting spot in a Premier League team for now. Both Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana have already collected four yellow cards this season so, if either are booked here, they'd sit out Chelsea's next match, the small matter of a trip to Anfield.
Chelsea predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest: (4-3-3): Sánchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernández, Caicedo, Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.
Chelsea Player to Watch vs Nottingham Forest
Cole Palmer currently isn't eligible to feature in UEFA competition, left out of their Conference League squad for the league phase, meaning he'll be raring to go here. Following his four-goal haul against Brighton, Palmer is seeking to become only the fifth player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick in back-to-back games, after Ian Wright, Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and Erling Braut Håland, who's done so twice, including already this season.
Nottingham Forest Team News
Morgan Gibbs-White will return, following his one-match ban, while, in his absence, Nuno Espírito Santo picked a bizarre wingerless, 4-4-2 diamond last weekend, which did not work at all, so will either former Chelsea man Callum Hudson-Odoi or Anthony Elanga, who was the match-winner at Stamford Bridge a year ago, or perhaps both return? Well, for the 1-0 win at Anfield, the pair were left in reserve, before being introduced in the second half and combining for the winner, so a similar strategy could be deployed. Midfield duo Danilo and Ibrahim Sangaré are both sidelined long-term.
Nottingham Forest predicted lineup vs Chelsea: (4-4-1-1): Sels; Aina, Milenković, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse, Domínguez, Anderson; Gibbs-White, Wood.
Nottingham Forest Player to Watch vs Chelsea
Chris Wood's three goals so far this season takes his tally to 72 in the Premier League, a figure only bettered by 64 players in the competition's history, which isn't bad for an often unheralded player. However, the New Zealander has never scored in 12 attempts against Chelsea, only facing Liverpool more frequently without finding the net, so will it be lucky number 13 for Wood?
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
As alluded to earlier, we're expecting Chelsea to win this one. The Blues look ultra-impressive right now and, while Forest will not be merely cannon fodder, we cannot see them being able to contain the Blues on Sunday afternoon.: Chelsea 3-1 Nottingham Forest.
