After a goalless draw at Bergamo, Arsenal needed a win when they faced Paris Saint-Germain in the second game of the Champions League at the Emirates. And, Mikel Arteta’s men did not disappoint. The challenge against the French champions was stiff. But, the Gunners came out with flying colours.

Kai Havetz opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 20th minute of the game. Bukayo Saka’s free that Donarumma couldn’t judge properly made the scoreline Arsenal 2-0 PSG in the 35th minute. And those two goals were enough for Arsenal to secure three points against PSG.

Let’s start the Arsenal player ratings vs PSG in the Champions League with the goalkeeper of the Gunners, David Raya (6/10). Against a strong PSG side, he was expected to have a tough night but instead, he enjoyed a quiet evening as he registered another clean sheet.

In the defence for Arsenal vs PSG, Jurrien Timber (7/10) looked a bit shaky at times against Barcola but stood his ground on most occasions. William Saliba (6/10) was rarely troubled by the PSG attackers and enjoyed a good evening. Gabriel Magalhaes (6/10) was calm and did everything right to secure another clean sheet. After the break, Riccardo Calafiori (7/10) played as a right-back but he started as the left-back and played a solid game.

As far as the midfielders go for the Gunners, Thomas Partey (7/10) was brilliant as he was the shield for Arsenal’s defence against PSG. For the substitutes for Arsenal vs PSG, Arteta made a quick substitution at the start of the second half when he brought on Jakub Kiwior (7/10) for Timber and protected Raya wonderfully. Mikel Merino (6/10) also came on for Partey and did a good job. Gabriel Jesus (6/10) also made an appearance after replacing Trossard in the 74th minute of the game. Miles Lewis-Skelly (NA/10) came on for Saka in the dying minutes of the game. As for the manager Mikel Arteta (8/10), he was up against a master tactician in Luis Enrique. But, the Arsenal boss showed his prowess and his team made a tough challenge easy for him.
