Arsenal player ratings vs Porto - Champions League

Let’s start the Arsenal player ratings vs Porto in their 1-0 (agg 1-1, pen 4-2) win in the Champions League round of 16 at the Emirates with the goalkeeper and player of the match David Raya (9/10)* who didn’t have much to do; however, when he was needed during the penalties, he came out with flying colours. Ben White (7/10) did an excellent job defensively and was good going forward as well. William Saliba (4/10) had a rare poor game and also got booked due to his foul on Galeno. Gabriel Magalhaes (5/10) also didn’t have the best of games as he looked a bit rushed. Jakub Kiwior (7/10) was brilliant in one-on-one situations putting up a brilliant performance.

The Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard (8/10) should have got a goal and was pivotal for the equalizer of Arsenal. Jorginho (4/10) played some horrendous passes and looked a bit out of pace. Declan Rice (8/10) delivered some great corners and also looked calm while putting away the penalty. Leandro Trossard (8/10) finished the beautiful pass from Odegaard clinically to give Arsenal the lead in the match and equalizer in the tie. Kai Havertz (6/10) fouled Costa and that is why Arsenal couldn’t get the second goal to finish the tie in regulation time and he looked off in the game. Bukayo Saka (4/10) had a difficult night as he was pocketed by the Porto left-back.

When it comes to the substitutes for the Gunners in this Arsenal vs Porto game, Arteta brought on Gabriel Jesus (6/10) for Jorginho in the 83rd minute of the game and could have scored a goal right at the end.  Eddie Nketiah (6/10) came on for Trossard in the 106th minute of the game and at the same time, Oleksandr Zinchenko (6/10) came on for Kiwior.
