The 17-year-old winger has gained attention across Europe after making an impressive start in Sporting’s first team this season. Quenda has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Juventus, showing his potential as a future star.

Manchester United scouts recently watched Quenda in action against Famalicao, where he scored, and in the Europa League against Sturm Graz. City’s interest appears strong as well, making them serious contenders in the chase for Quenda’s signature.

However, any club interested in signing Quenda will have to meet Sporting’s release clause of €100 million. Given his age, Quenda will only be eligible for a transfer after he turns 18 in April, making the summer window the earliest chance to sign him.

Manchester City are currently leading the race, but Manchester United’s new manager, Amorim, could influence a deal. Amorim is reportedly interested in reshaping the United squad and has discussed further transfer targets from Sporting.

These targets include Marcus Edwards, Pedro Goncalves, and Goncalo Inacio. Edwards could be a replacement for Antony, whom United no longer consider essential. Goncalves is a key player for Sporting, and his transfer would require a substantial fee. Inacio, a young centre-back with a €60 million release clause, has also drawn interest from Liverpool.

Amorim is reportedly planning to make changes to United’s lineup. The club is open to selling players like Antony, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, and Casemiro in the upcoming transfer window.

Eriksen and Lindelof are out of contract next summer, so potential buyers may wait for free transfers. United may consider offers around £25 million each for Antony and Casemiro, whose current wages do not align with their recent performances.

With Amorim's potential transfers, Manchester United could see a reshaped squad under his leadership. Fans can look forward to possible new additions and a shift in the club’s approach to upcoming matches.
