Manchester United might be missing up to eight players for their Europa League match against PAOK on Thursday. They are dealing with multiple injuries, which could impact the lineup at Old Trafford.

Summer signing Leny Yoro is close to returning from a foot injury, but he is still not ready to play. Kobbie Mainoo is also out due to a hamstring injury, and Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are both unavailable with calf issues. Tyrell Malacia has a knee injury, while Antony remains sidelined with an ankle injury after being stretchered off in the recent Europa League match against Fenerbahce.

Mason Mount returned to training after a knock, but he may not be ready for Thursday’s game. Christian Eriksen, who missed the last two matches, will be assessed before the match due to an unspecified issue.

Bruno Fernandes is back after missing the last Europa League game due to suspension. He is expected to start as captain and could play a key role in midfield after scoring a penalty in Manchester United’s recent 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Manchester United have struggled in attack recently, with neither Rasmus Hojlund nor Joshua Zirkzee making a strong impact. Both are in contention to start, but Zirkzee may be chosen as Hojlund played 84 minutes against Chelsea. Amad Diallo is also an option for the wing, potentially over Marcus Rashford or Alejandro Garnacho.

Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro are likely to continue in central midfield if Eriksen and Mount are not fit to play. Victor Lindelof could also be an option in midfield, as he filled that role briefly in the closing stages against Chelsea. Lindelof might cover at right-back or left-back if manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy decides to rest either Diogo Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui. Youngster Harry Amass, at 17, could also play at left-back, while Jonny Evans may start in central defence, replacing either Matthijs de Ligt or Lisandro Martinez.
