Ipswich Town vs Everton - Premier League: TV channel, prediction, team news and lineups
By Ben Gray
Ipswich have actually won three of their last four meetings with Everton, despite having only claimed one victory in their 14 encounters beforehand, albeit this will be their first clash for over 22 years.
Ipswich Town vs Everton Preview
Can Ipswich Town end their long wait, 8,214 days and counting, for a Premier League win? So far, Kieran McKenna's team do have four points on the board, enough to keep them above the relegation zone for now, battling to four successive draws before, last time out, being hammered 4-1 by West Ham at the London Stadium. Prior to this, the Tractor Boys' only defeats had come at the hands of Liverpool and Manchester City, but there were certainly some concerning signs in the capital. Ipswich have not failed to win any of their first eight matches to start a campaign since 1964 so, having held Fulham and Aston Villa to draws at Portman Road, will this be the day they finally claim that illusive first victory?
Everton meantime make the 223 mile, cross-country trip to Suffolk unbeaten in three, thereby a point above their newly-promoted hosts. The Toffees picking up their maiden victory of the campaign by beating Crystal Palace 2-1 before holding Newcastle to a goalless draw at Goodison last time out; Jordan Pickford's penalty save, denying Anthony Gordon, sparked wild scenes of jubilation in the Gwladys Street End and beyond. Sean Dyche's team now don't face anyone currently seventh or higher until the Merseyside derby on 7 December, meaning that's a seven-game sequence in which the Blues will be aiming to climb away from danger. Here, both will fancy their chances of collecting three points in Suffolk.

Ipswich Town Team News
Defender Axel Tuanzebe is sidelined due to, surely, the most bizarre injury of the season, almost losing his thumb on a smashed glass whilst doing the washing up. In his absence, Jacob Greaves will continue to partner Dara O'Shea at the back. Meantime, in midfield, a yellow card for captain Sam Morsy would see him sit out the trip to Brentford next weekend. Out-wide, Kieran McKenna has plenty of options to choose from, deploying Wes Burns and Jack Clarke at the London Stadium, although Irish duo Chiedozie Ogbene and Sammie Szmodics will both be hoping to get the nod this time
Ipswich Town predicted lineup vs Everton: (4-2-3-1): Muric; Johnson, O'Shea, Greaves, Davis; Morsy, Phillips, Burns, Hutchinson, Clarke; Delap.
Ipswich Town Player to Watch vs Everton
Every team fighting relegation needs a reliable goal-scorer and Liam Delap could be that man for Ipswich, His equaliser at West Ham took Delap's tally to four in the Premier League this season already, on target during both of the Tractor Boys' last two home games, so can he keep the streak going?
Everton Team News
Jarrad Branthwaite, belatedly, made his first appearance of the season during the win over Crystal Palace, but then sat out the Newcastle game, so it remains unknown if he'll be fit enough to feature here. Full-back is another problem position for Sean Dyche, with Séamus Coleman, Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko all out, hence why James Garner filled-in at right-back a fortnight ago. Abdoulaye Doucouré and Orel Mangala appear to be the first-choice midfield duo, chosen over Tim Iroegbunam and Idrissa Gana Gueye, while an Achilles issue means Armando Broja's debut is still at least a few weeks away.
Everton predicted lineup vs Ipswich Town: (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Garner, Tarkowski, Keane, Young; Mangala, Doucouré, Harrison, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin.
Everton Player to Watch vs Ipswich Town
Dwight McNeil has been, by some distance, Everton's player of the season so far, scoring four goals in all competitions, including bagging both when the Toffees defeated Crystal Palace. If the Blues are going to pick up three more points here, they'll need McNeil to continue to be at his best.
Ipswich Town vs Everton Prediction
The last five clashes between these two sides at Portman Road have witnessed a miserly six goals, with another tight, tense, low-scoring affair likely. Even at this very early stage of the season, three points for either side could prove so precious, but we're sitting on the fence and forecasting a low-scoring draw: Ipswich Town 1-1 Everton.
