Everton vs Fulham - Premier League: TV channel, prediction, team news and lineups
By Ben Gray
Remarkably, Fulham failed to win any of their 16 visits to Goodison between 1976 and 2020, losing all 15 in the league, but now the Whites have won each of their last four fixtures on the blue half of Merseyside, including a penalty shootout success in the Carabao Cup last December, so can the Cottagers keep this streak going?
Everton vs Fulham Preview
Will Everton's elongated, by their own lowered standards, unbeaten run continue? Last weekend, goals from Iliman Ndiaye and then Michael Keane saw the Toffees beat Ipswich Town 2-0 at Portman Road. As a result, having started the season with four successive defeats, Sean Dyche's side are now unbeaten in four, previously defeating Crystal Palace at Goodison, as well as holding both Leicester and Newcastle to draws. This leaves the Blues 16th, five points clear of the drop zone, not facing anyone currently ninth or higher until a Merseyside derby on 7 December, presenting them with a chance to climb the table further.
In fact, based on the current league table, the strongest side Everton will face between now and then is Fulham, currently tenth, albeit only three points better off than their hosts. Marco Silva's side have enjoyed wins over Leicester, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest thus far, but do travel north following back-to-back defeats, shipping three as they were beaten by both Manchester City and, more-recently Aston Villa at Craven Cottage.
In the latter a week ago, the Cottagers took an early lead through Raúl Jiménez, but it was all downhill from there, given that Andreas Pereira meekly saw a penalty saved, while Joachim Andersen was then sent off. The Whites though are unbeaten in six meetings with the Toffees, their joint-longest streak in the 98-year history of this fixture, so will they leave Goodison victorious, as they have done the last four occasions they have visited?

Everton Team News
Right-backs Séamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson, who haven't featured since 31 August and 14 April respectively, were both on the bench at Portman Road, hoping to feature this time, with Ashley Young likely to be in to start. On the other side, Vitaliy Mykolenko returned following a calf strain, which is a big boost for a depleted squad. Jarrad Branthwaite is still out, having made only one appearance so far. In midfield, Idrissa Gana Gueye started alongside Abdoulaye Doucouré against Ipswich, chosen over Orel Mangala, with Tim Iroegbunam injured.
Everton predicted lineup vs Fulham: (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Gana Gueye, Doucouré, Harrison, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin.
Everton Player to Watch vs Fulham
Dwight McNeil has been Everton's star man this season, starting in a more central role, so if the Toffees are going to win this one, he'll be required to shine again.
Fulham Team News
Joachim Andersen's red card means he is suspended so Issa Diop, who came off the bench only to score an own goal against Aston Villa, will deputise. That enforced alteration aside, Marco Silva is expected to name an unchanged side, featuring Sander Berge, who's deputising for the injured Saša Lukić as the most-defensive midfielder.
Fulham predicted lineup vs Everton: (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Pereira, Traoré, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jiménez.
Fulham Player to Watch vs Everton
Raúl Jiménez took his tally to five goals for the season last weekend, bagging four in his last five Premier League outings; the Mexican has scored five career goals against Everton, only on target against West Ham more frequently in his entire career.
Everton vs Fulham Prediction
This clash is tough to call but a warning, if you are planning on tuning in, don't do so expecting a goal-fest. Succinctly, we're unsure which way this one will go, so we've gone for a draw: Everton 1-1 Fulham.
