Chelsea have won both previous visits to Parken, prevailing 1-0 in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1998 and 2-0 in the Champions League 13 years ago.
København meanwhile have won only two of 17 previous meetings with English opposition, both victories coming against Manchester United, losing ten of these matches.
Copenhagen vs Chelsea Preview
Chelsea have found the UEFA Conference League all too easy so far, but the difficulty level is set to increase as the tournament favourites commence their knockout phase campaign. The Blues won all six league phase matches, finishing top of the table, scoring 26 times, thereby averaging a goal every 21 minutes, hence why most expect they'll be in Wrocław for the final on 28 May.
However, this is now their only shot at silverware, having been dumped out of the FA Cup by Brighton last month. Meantime, Enzo Maresca has seen his team's Premier League form drastically deteriorate in recent weeks too, winning only three of their last 11, having won five on the spin beforehand. Last time out, last Wednesday, the Blues did get back to winning ways, albeit few get much credit for beating this iteration of Southampton. Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella all on target in a 4-0 rout.
This leaves Chelsea fifth, on course for Champions League qualification, but Maresca will still want to get his hands on this trophy come the end of May. As mentioned earlier, Chelsea are overwhelming favourites to win the Conference League, so will the leave the Danish capital with a positive result?
As for København, this will be their 15th European fixture of the season already, having had to come through qualifiers against Bruno's Magpies, Baník Ostrava and Kilmarnock last summer. Jacob Neestrup's side then endured a mixed league phase campaign, mustering two wins, two draws and two defeats, their only victories coming over Dinamo Minsk and Hearts, finishing 18th.
This saw the Lions handed a tough first knockout round tie, seemingly on the brink of elimination when they were beaten 2-1 by Heidenheim in the first leg at home. However, a week later, København won 2-1 in Germany, goals from Amin Chiakha and then Kevin Diks forcing extra time, before Rodrigo Huescas' goal at the last completed the comeback. So now, the Danish side are seeking to reach the quarter-finals of a UEFA competition for only the second time, beaten in the last eight of the Europa League by Manchester United five years ago.
Domestically, København are the record, 15-times Superligaen champions and, having actually finished third last season, are on course to reclaim their title. Sunday's goalless draw at Aalborg BK leaves them top, a point ahead of Midtjylland, who they beat a week earlier. Now, attention turns to a huge European night at a packed-out Parken, so can Neestrup's side establish a first leg advantage, with a trip to Stamford Bridge to come?

Copenhagen Team News
Nicolai Boilesen, Lukas Lerager, Oliver Højer, Robert, Roony Bardghji, Jordan Larsson and Andreas Cornelius are all sidelined, while Jacob Neestrup did rotate his team a bit at AaB on Sunday, but all the regulars will return. Kevin Diks will be restored to right-back, while Amin Chiakha will lead the line. Marcos López, Rodrigo Huescas and Mohamed Elyounoussi would all sit out the second leg in West London if cautioned.
Copenhagen predicted lineup vs Chelsea: (4-2-3-1): Ramaj, Diks, Gabriel Pereira, Chatzidiakos, Meling; Delaney, Froholdt, Gocholeishvili, Elyounoussi, Achouri; Chiakha.
Copenhagen Player to Watch vs Chelsea
Mohamed Elyounoussi, formerly of Southampton and Celtic, has nine goals to his name this season, two of which have come in Europe, although he's never scored in four previous meetings with Chelsea.
Chelsea Team News
This will be a first fixture for eight days for Enzo Maresca's team, so it'll be interesting to see how strong he goes. Many of Chelsea's league phase stalwarts, including Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi and João Félix, departed in January, leaving behind a slightly trimmed down squad.
Cole Palmer is yet to feature in this competition but he, as well as the recalled Trevoh Chalobah and new signing Mathis Amougou, have been added to the UEFA squad, making them eligible. However, neither Wesley Fofana or Roméo Lavia are in the squad, the latter is injured anyway, while Benoît Badiashile, the aforementioned Chalobah, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu are all also sidelined.
In goal, Filip Jörgensen has started the last four Premier League games, with former number one Robert Sánchez having now been demoted to Conference League keeper. Midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has started seven of the eight European matches to date, so will he come into the lineup, having seen just 179 minutes of action in the Premier League? Lastly, for the last two matches, Pedro Neto was deployed through the middle with Christopher Nkunku out-wide, so will this experiment continue?
Chelsea predicted lineup vs Copenhagen: (4-2-3-1): Sánchez; James, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Dewsbury-Hall, Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku; Neto.
Chelsea Player to Watch vs Copenhagen
Christopher Nkunku has seven Conference League goals to his name this season, scoring on the road in Switzerland, Greece and Germany, so will he add the Danish capital to this list?
Copenhagen vs Chelsea Prediction
We are backing Chelsea for victory at Parken, likely to be far too strong for their Danish hosts, making the second leg at Stamford Bridge a mere formality: Copenhagen 1-3 Chelsea.
