Everton are unbeaten in five meetings with Brentford, winning three of them, with the Toffees targeting back-to-back wins in this section of West London for the first time ever.

Brentford vs Everton Preview

Will Everton's unbeaten streak continue? On Saturday, David Moyes' men appeared set to claim yet another victory, 2-0 up against Manchester United at Goodison after half an hour, with in-form Beto and then Abdoulaye Doucouré on target. However, Man United fought back, drawing level courtesy of two, quick-fire goals, before Ashley Young was controversially denied a late penalty following VAR review, as the Evertonians were forced to settle for a point.

Nevertheless, this extends the Toffees unbeaten streak to six matches, winning four of them, currently above Man United and, more importantly, 14 points clear of danger. Now, the Blues are aiming to win three successive Premier League away games for the first time since December 2023, most-recently enjoying a seven-match unbeaten streak all the way back in December 2017 under Sam Allardyce.

Back then, the Premier League was still a pipe dream for Brentford but now, into their fourth season as a top-flight club, supporters are dreaming of Europe. The Bees will come into this one full of confidence, having swatted aside an admittedly pitiful Leicester City 4-0 at the King Power on Friday night; Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Nørgaard and forgotten man Fábio Carvalho all scoring.

That made it four successive away wins for Thomas Frank's team, who'd failed to win any of their previous nine fixtures on the road this season beforehand. However, while their away form has drastically improved, the Bees' have lost their magic at home, yielding just a solitary point from their five home fixtures since early-December.

All of this leaves them 11th, just five points adrift the final potential European spot, but Everton have rather been Brentford's bogey team in recent seasons, so can they change that fact in West London on Wednesday?

Brentford Team News

Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Sepp van den Berg, Mathias Jensen, Josh Dasilva, Gustavo Nunes and Igor Thiago remain sidelined, while Christian Nørgaard is also out, after suffering a rather nasty concussion at the King Power on Friday.

As a result, Yegor Yarmolyuk will deputise in midfield, but no other chances are forecast, with Kristoffer Ajer once again getting the nod at right-back over January signing Michael Kayode, who's made three cameo appearances of the bench so far.

Brentford predicted lineup vs Everton: (4-2-3-1): Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Lewis-Potter; Yarmolyuk, Janelt, Damsgaard; Mbuemo, Wissa, Schade.

Brentford Players to Watch vs Everton

Bryan Mbeumo curled home his 15th of the season at Leicester, although the Cameroonian international has never scored against Everton in seven attempts, the most he's ever faced a single opponent without netting, seeking to chance that fact.

Everton Team News

David Moyes certainly has limited options right now, given that Séamus Coleman, Nathan Patterson, Orel Mangala, Dwight McNeil, Iliman Ndiaye, Youssef Chermiti, Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all remain sidelined.

Thus, an unchanged Everton lineup is forecast, with Jake O'Brien starting an eighth successive match at right-back, having not started at all in the league under Sean Dyche. James Garner's impressive performances in midfield will once again see him get the nod over Tim Iroegbunam and new signing Carlos Alcaraz, who scored the winner at Palace during their most-recent away game.

Everton predicted lineup vs Brentford: (4-5-1): Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gana Gueye, Garner, Doucouré, Lindstrøm, Harrison; Beto.

Everton Player to Watch vs Brentford

Out of nowhere, Beto has become one of the Premier League's form strikers, scoring five goals across Everton's last four matches, the first Toffees player to net in four successive league games since Richarlison four years ago.

Brentford vs Everton Prediction

We can't seperate these two sides, so we are forecasting that Everton's unbeaten streak will continue, but with a score draw against an impressive Brentford on Wednesday: Brentford 1-1 Everton.
