Bournemouth vs Manchester City - Premier League: TV channel, prediction, team news and lineups
By Ben Gray
Manchester City have won all 15 meetings with Bournemouth in the 21st century, scoring 47 goals, that's an average of over three per game, so will that streak continue, or can the Cherries defeat the Citizens for the first time ever, with this their 22nd attempt to do so?
Bournemouth vs Manchester City Preview
After suffering their first defeat of the season, will Manchester City get back to winning ways? On Wednesday night, a mix-and-match Man City side were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Tottenham; Matheus Nunes' strike in first half stoppage time halving the deficit, but no equaliser was forthcoming in North London. Back in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola's team made it three wins on the spin, and 32 matches unbeaten overall, by beating Southampton 1-0 a week ago, a result that leaves them top, with most forecasting they'll remain there between now and May. As referenced earlier, the Citizens always beat Bournemouth in the Premier League, it's currently 14 matches and counting, so an away win at Dean Court is a mere formality, right?

Well, a fortnight ago, Andoni Iraola's side proved themselves to be capable of upsetting the big boys, beating Arsenal 2-0 at home, with Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert the scorers. Then, last Saturday, Bournemouth battled to a credible 1-1 draw at Villa Park, falling behind with less than 15 minutes to play, only for Evanilson's header, which turned out to be the last action of the afternoon, to dramatically snatch a draw. This point leaves the Cherries 12th, having won three, drawn three and lost three so far, now aiming for a third successive home win which, fair to say, will be easier said than done, given that the champions are coming to town.

Bournemouth Team News
Kepa Arrizabalaga sat out last weekend's trip to the Midlands due to an abductor issue, meaning Mark Travers deputised, but there is optimism that the Chelsea loanee will be fit for this one. In less good news, midfielder Alex Scott is sidelined for a while following surgery to "repair a meniscus injury", although fellow-midfielder Tyler Adams is back, making his first appearance since the Copa América during a brief cameo at Villa Park. In attack, Evanilson's late equaliser should see him return, displacing Enes Ünal, while Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo are both one yellow card away from sitting out next Saturday's trip to Brentford suspended.
Bournemouth predicted lineup vs Manchester City: (4-2-3-1): Arrizabalaga; Araujo, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Cook, Christie, Kluivert, Semenyo, Ouattara; Evanilson.

Meanwhile, Manuel Akanji pulled out of the tie after sustaining an issue in the warm-up, while Rúben Dias was withdrawn at half time. Joško Gvardiol, Mateo Kovačić and Bernardo Silva saw mid-week minutes off the bench, all likely to come into the team this time, with young midfielders James McAtee and Nico O'Reilly making way.

Erling Braut Håland was an unused substitute on Wednesday, meaning he'll be raring to go here, aiming to add to his 14 goals already this season, surprisingly scoring only once in four previous outings at Bournemouth.
Bournemouth vs Manchester City Prediction
Despite their ever-increasing injury list, we're forecasting a straight-forward Man City victory. The Sky Blues still have plenty of quality in their ranks, so we can certainly see them swatting Bournemouth aside, as they have done during all 14 previous Premier League meetings to date: Bournemouth 0-2 Manchester City.
