Born in Brazil, Sam's love for sports began with the beautiful game and his favorite team: Flamengo. After moving to the U.S. as a kid, he grew to love every and all forms of sports, from football to basketball and even Formula One. After graduating from UCF, Sam covered local & national sports in Orlando for almost half a decade before going back to school to earn his master's in journalism from Northwestern.
