PSV have never won any of their five clashes with Arsenal in North London, losing three.

The Gunners have won their last four home matches against Dutch opposition; the Red and Whites are winless in six visits to England, dating back to 2008.

Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven Preview

After an historic success in Eindhoven, this second leg in North London is a mere formality. Last Tuesday night, the Gunners demolished PSV 7-1 at Philips Stadion, the biggest-ever victory any side has ever enjoyed in the Champions League knockout phase. Martin Ødegaard scored a second half brace, while Jurriën Timber, Ethan Nwaneri, Mikel Merino, Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori were all also on target. Thus, Mikel Arteta's team can surely already start planning for a trip to Madrid in the quarter-finals, albeit it's not clear which side from the Spanish capital they'll be facing.

Prior to last season's penalty shootout victory over Porto, Arsenal had not reached the Champions League quarter-finals since 2010. However, under Arteta, they've been so strong in this competition at home, winning eight of nine fixtures, keeping eight clean sheets, yet to concede in front of their own supporters this season. Meanwhile, now winless in three Premier League matches, the title race is very much over, given that Liverpool are 15 points clear at the top. On Sunday, the Gunners were held to an underwhelming 1-1 draw by Manchester United at Old Trafford, with Declan Rice lashing home a late equaliser. Thus, despite last Tuesday's seven-goal haul, all of Arsenal's issues have not been fixed, but they'll still fancy their chances of scoring a fair few here.

As for PSV Eindhoven, they haven't reached the Champions League quarter-finals since 2007, coincidentially dumping out Arsenal back then, a fact that'll remain the case. Peter Bosz's side did oust Juventus in the previous round, but that 7-1 humiliation was merely the latest in a string of terrible results. A week earlier, the Red and Whites were dumped out of the KNVB Beker, beaten 2-1 on home turf in the semi-finals by Go Ahead Eagles. Meantime, despite starting the Eredivisie with 14 wins out of 15, they then won just two of their next nine, winless in four away league games. PSV did beat Heerenveen 2-1 on Saturday, Ismael Saibari and Guus Till the scorers, but they remain eight points adrift leaders Ajax, with De Topper to come later this month.

PSV's record two-legged European defeat is 5-0 against Olympique Lyonnais in 2006; Arsenal's record such victory is 10-0 against Standard Liège in 1993. Will both records be broken?

Arsenal Team News

Given that unassailable advantage, and with Chelsea to come on Sunday, will Mikel Arteta rotate? Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz remain sidelined, but Gabriel Martinelli did come off the bench at Old Trafford, his first appearance since 5 February due to a hamstring injury, so he'll be looking to get more minutes into his legs.

Similarly, since undergoing knee surgery in November, Benjamin White has seen just 22 minutes of action, spread across three cameos off the bench, so could he start this time? If Arteta does rotate, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jorginho and Raheem Sterling, who's still only scored one goal for the club, are amongst those hoping to come in. Jurriën Timber, Sterling and Martinelli must be careful as they're all one booking away from a suspension.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs PSV Eindhoven: (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Jorginho, Ødegaard; Sterling, Martinelli, Merino.

Arsenal Player to Watch vs PSV Eindhoven

As alluded to, Raheem Sterling has scored only once for Arsenal, this against Bolton in the EFL Cup in September, and he's surely not going to get a better opportunity than this to change that fact.

How does Peter Bosz approach this, given that Saturday's trip to second-bottom RKC Waalwijk is significantly more important? American duo Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi remain sidelined, but there is some good news for USMNT fans, as Sergiño Dest came off the bench at the weekend, his first appearance for 338 days following an ACL rupture.

Elsewhere, former Arsenal striker Lucas Pérez cannot feature as he's not in the UEFA squad, while Tyrell Malacia, on loan from Manchester United, could return at left-back.

PSV Eindhoven predicted lineup vs Arsenal: (4-2-3-1): Benítez; Karsdorp, Obispo, Nagalo, Malacia; Veerman, Schouten, Bakayoko, Til, Perišić; de Jong.

PSV Eindhoven Player to Watch vs Arsenal

Johan Bakayoko has lost his place in the starting lineup in recent weeks, but could be given the opportunity to add to his ten goals this season, two of which have come in the Champions League, from the start this time.

Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven Prediction

Another goal-fest is likely, and we're backing Arsenal to reach double-figure on aggregate with another emphatic victory over PSV on Wednesday: Arsenal 3-1 PSV Eindhoven.
