Arsenal are aiming to win four successive meetings with Man United for the first time since '98, while the Gunners have won each of their last five home games against the Red Devils with supporters in attendance, their healthiest home form in this fixture since the late-70s.
Arsenal vs Manchester United Preview
Can Arsenal continue their recent scoring spree? On Saturday, the Gunners steamrollered West Ham at the London Stadium, 4-0 up inside 36 minutes, with Gabriel, Leandro Trossard, Martin Ødegaard and then Kai Havertz all on target. The Irons then scored two, quick-fire goals to reignite the atmosphere, but a Bukayo Saka spot-kick reestablished their three-goal advantage and, following an uneventful, to say the least, second period, 5-2 is how it finished.
Having also smashed West Ham 6-0 back in February, the Gunners have therefore scored 5+ in back-to-back away games against a single opponent for the only the third time, previously doing so at the expense of both Leicester and Middlesbrough 93 years ago. This made it three successive victories for Mikel Arteta's team, following equally comfortable victories over Nottingham Forest and Sporting CP, 5-1 victors in Lisbon last Tuesday, with Arsenal having five different goalscorers in consecutive fixtures for the first time in the club's entire history. In the Premier League table, the Gunners are now up to second, albeit still nine points adrift run-away league-leaders Liverpool, meaning Arsenal are under pressure to keep on winning.
Manchester United meantime are less than a fortnight into the Rúben Amorim revolution, but things are already looking up. On Sunday, the Red Devils enjoyed their most-emphatic Premier League victory since August 2021, when Ole Gunnar Solskjær was still in charge, smashing an admittedly hapless Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford, with both Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee bagging braces.
This propelled Man United into the top half of the table, unbeaten in four league games, albeit their sole away win so far came at rock-bottom Southampton in September. In London meanwhile, since January 2022, Man United have won only two of 18 Premier League fixtures, losing 11 and failing to score in seven of these matches, both victories coming at Craven Cottage. Thus, it would be both a serious statement and a major surprise if Amorim was able to mastermind a win over Arsenal.

Arsenal Team News
With Benjamin White and Takehiro Tomiyasu sidelined, it'll once again be Jurriën Timber and Riccardo Calafiori at full-back, with fit-again Kieran Tierey itching to make his first Arsenal appearance since the 2023 Community Shield, having been an unused substitute during the last two games. Both Thomas Partey (muscle) and Mikel Merino (knee) missed Saturday's trip to East London so, if neither are back, Jorginho will continue to slot seamlessly into midfield. Gabriel Martinelli will return to attack, following a well-earned rest at the weekend, watching the win from the bench. Lastly, despite only seeing 228 minutes of action, Gabriel Jesus has somehow collected four yellow cards, so would miss Sunday's trip to Fulham if booked.
Arsenal predicted lineup vs Manchester United: (4-4-1-1): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Jorginho, Saka, Ødegaard, Martinelli; Havertz.
Arsenal Player to Watch vs Manchester United
Having done so during each of the last three matches, Bukayo Saka could become the first Arsenal player since Cesc Fàbregas in 2007 to both score and assist in four successive matches.
Manchester United Team News
Both Lisandro Martínez and Kobbie Mainoo were shown their fifth yellow cards of the campaign against Everton, doing so within minutes of one-another, meaning the pair are suspended. Rúben Amorim has boldly deployed Amad at right-wing-back for both Premier League fixtures so far, but will he do the same here, or draft in a more defensive alternative? Harry Maguire came off the bench on Sunday, his first appearance since 6 October due to injury, while Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both options on the left, following significantly longer-term injuries. Rasmus Højlund bagged a double against Bodø/Glimt before Joshua Zirkzee struck twice at the weekend, so who will lead the line?
Manchester United predicted lineup vs Arsenal: (3-4-3): Onana; Mazraoui, de Ligt, Maguire; Amad, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dalot; Fernandes, Rashford, Højlund.
Manchester United Player to Watch vs Arsenal
Marcus Rashford, who bagged a brace on Sunday, has some history with Arsenal. He scored twice on his Premier League debut against the Gunners as a teenager, while he's netted near-identical strikes at the Emirates during both of the last two seasons, albeit his side has gone on to lost both matches.
Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction
We're forecasting a landslide victory for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's team have been back to their scintillating best during the last three matches, exploiting all the holes in Sporting's 3-4-3 shape last mid-week, set to do the same when Man United visit on Wednesday: Arsenal 3-0 Manchester United.
