Ahead of the London derby in the EFL Cup tonight, Mikel Arteta has dropped a MAJOR Arsenal lineup hint which West Ham fans certainly won’t like.

Arsenal travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham United in round 4 of the EFL Cup tonight. Coming into this fixture, it’s the away side who are in better form, with Arsenal losing just one of their last five games in all competitions, where West Ham have won only one of their last five games.

Although, in London derbies and especially in cup fixtures, form is often the last predictor of the result. It will come down to how much the players want it, with this cup competition being infamous for bringing the best out of fringe players who would like to make a name for themselves.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta drops a MAJOR Arsenal lineup hint vs West Ham

One of those players for Arsenal is Eddie Nketiah, who always seems to thrive when Gabriel Jesus is injured. With the Brazilian striker out at the moment, Nketiah is making a name for himself and looking to solidify his place in the starting eleven.

Fresh off scoring a hat-trick in the Premier League, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has hinted that Eddie Nketiah could start in this midweek fixture. As per TBR, the boss has claimed that Nketiah is “fresh”, which indicates he’s ready to start in this match.

In my opinion, he would start anyway. In our Arsenal predicted lineup vs West Ham, we were fairly certain that Eddie Nketiah would get the nod anyway. To bench a player after scoring a hat-trick, particularly when he’s the only natural player in this position available, would be unlike Mikel Arteta. Certainly, Eddie is rewarding the trust of his manager.

What do you think will be the Arsenal lineup vs West Ham?
