Manchester United have been informed of the price they must pay for Erik ten Hag’s chief transfer target. Will they meet the demand?

Manchester United return to Premier League action tonight after what felt like a century-long international break. Erik ten Hag hopes that his team can get on a consistent path of winning games, a trend they have followed too little in the opening quarter of the season.

Admittedly, Erik ten Hag is under fire. His role as Manchester United boss is at risk if he doesn’t meet the objectives set this season. As an absolute minimum, the Red Devils must qualify for the Champions League next season. Although, given the signings they made in the summer, many would’ve predicted them to challenge for the title.

Erik ten Hag isn’t letting the first quarter of his season deter him from his goals as the boss, though. Thankfully, he is remaining positive and has some bright transfer plans for the January transfer window.

It doesn’t take a genius to look at the United team and locate the gaps which are missing. The general consensus is that a new centre back is needed in January, even if only for depth reasons. At the moment, if there are injuries and suspensions, it could mean that United have to rely on Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans. If that’s the case, they can kiss goodbye to their objectives.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has handed one final chance to Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United told to pay £60m for Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace

A player who Erik ten Hag is known to be interested in is Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace. The England international is subject to a move away, with many believing he’s overqualified to play for this Palace team.

According to a report by Football Insider (via 90min), Crystal Palace will not accept less than £60m for Manchester United target Marc Guehi. It is known that United have this kind of money, particularly with the potential takeover.

Do you think Manchester United will sign Marc Guehi?
