Arsenal travel to Stamford Bridge to face Mauricio Pochettino for the first time as Chelsea boss. They’ve dropped a major lineup hint in the buildup.

Arsenal return to Premier League action after what felt like months of the international break. The reason why the Gunners were so eager to return to action was because they left off on a pretty good note, beating Manchester City late on.

The player who scored the late goal, Gabriel Martinelli, was a substitute in the match since he hadn’t fully recovered from injury. But now, the Brazilian winger could be ready for action against a team he likes to play against, London rivals Chelsea.

Arsenal drop a major lineup hint vs Chelsea

Ahead of the game, Arsenal’s official X account posted a graphic which could be perceived as a major lineup hint. In the usual manner, they have posted an image to the account which promotes the game to build excitement. They often include a player within that graphic and in this match, it’s Gabriel Martinelli.

While it doesn’t always guarantee that the player within the graphic is starting, it’s a pretty good indication that he stands a chance. After all, Trossard isn’t a guarantee, so this only boosts Gabriel Martinelli’s chances of getting his first start since he picked up the initial injury.

As pointed out by Football London, the return to action for Gabriel Martinelli couldn’t come at a better time for Mikel Arteta. He has been dealing with a few injury concerns in different areas of the pitch, so to have the dynamic and energetic Brazilian available on the flank again will come as a big boost. Further, he’ll hope that the goal against City before the international break fills his player with confidence to go on a scoring spree.
