Liverpool are making moves for a superstar who is currently ranked second in the Golden Boy rankings, it would be a huge deal for Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool have had an excellent start to the season. Despite losing some key players, Jurgen Klopp did well to bring in reinforcements and this new-look Reds team is in the top four as they prepare to host the first Merseyside derby of the season this weekend.

Meanwhile, here’s the Liverpool predicted lineup vs Everton.

Key to their resurgence this season is an overhaul of world-class midfield talent. The likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister have turned the team into genuine title contenders again this season. But like every great manager, Klopp isn’t done there.

Liverpool make moves for Jamal Musiala

According to a report from The Mirror, Liverpool are making moves to sign Jamal Musiala in the January transfer window. The attacking midfielder is thought to be frustrated and on the lookout for a new club since he’s fallen out of favour at the Allianz Arena. According to TEAMtalk, it would take a minimum of £87m to convince Bayern Munich to sell.

This is a big fee for a non-guaranteed starter but one which Klopp may be inclined to meet. After all, he knows German football better than some Bundesliga managers, so he will understand the level of ability which Musiala would bring to Anfield.

Ageing at 20 years old, Musiala is one of the best young players in the game and, even after a slow start this season, is predicted to be an absolute world-beater. In fact, he is currently second in the Golden Boy rankings, only second to Jude Bellingham, who Liverpool previously tried to sign.

Signing Musiala to play in the attacking midfield role could remind Klopp of what it was like to work with Philippe Coutinho. Big boots to fill for sure, but if anyone can fill them, it’s Musiala.
