RB: Ashley Young – The former England international was not involved in the international break so it was valuable rest for him. As a player who has faced Liverpool many times throughout his career, his experience will prove valuable against Luis Diaz.

CB: James Tarkowski – Potentially coming up against Darwin Nunez, the physicality of Tarkowski to rule him out will be pivotal. Certainly, he’s a first team staple under Dyche anyway.

CB: Jarrad Branthwaite – Seen as the future in Merseyside, it’s games like this where Branthwaite will look to make a name for himself. He is undroppable from Sean Dyche’s point of view, given his fine start to the season.

LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – He was the star of the show for Ukraine throughout the international break. Against Malta, Mykolenko’s full-back display was important as he picked up an assist. Most importantly for Dyche, he will return fresh and ready to start this big game.
