Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, may have just dropped a big hint about the direction of the Manchester United takeover.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d have seen about the Manchester United takeover. It’s all over the news recently and one of the most trending topics. But the truth is, even those who live outside of rocks don’t have a clue what’s going on – Including those at the club.

Yesterday, The Top Flight reported that Sir Jim Ratcliffe, while he seems like the current favourite to complete the Manchester United takeover, is nowhere near striking a deal with the Glazers. It’s thought that the two parties will be involved in long-term negotiations, so no investment is to be made anytime soon.

One man who will be hopeful for a takeover sooner rather than later is the club manager Erik ten Hag. While he isn’t the most popular figure among the fanbase right now, nobody forgets about the progress he made with the club last season. No doubt, he would be in a much better position with a competent board above him.

Erik ten Hag sides with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s big Manchester United takeover plans

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Erik ten Hag is set to welcome plans by Sir Jim Ratcliffe to overhaul the Manchester United football department, should he be successful in the takeover.

Having the backing of the club manager is a great sign for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as somebody who seems to actually love football, as opposed to seeing the club as a cash cow.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag has also revealed his stance on the Scott McTominay sale situation after his heroic brace against Brentford last weekend.
