Arsenal have had an excellent start to the season and after beating Manchester City in their most recent Premier League match, they head into the international break brimming with confidence as they are joint top of the Premier League table.

It’s courtesy to Mikel Arteta that he has made some bold but essential choices with his starting eleven. At the start of the season, it was Gabriel who missed out on action but now it’s Aaron Ramsdale. With David Raya being given chances to prove himself and capitalising on them, Ramsdale is further out of contention.

But the two shouldn’t be pitted against one another. Both are excellent goalkeepers, David Raya just fits what Mikel Arteta has wanted to achieve in recent matches. Certainly, the Spanish boss is thankful for the chances given to him by his new boss, as he’s also dropped a big hint about his potential future at the Emirates Stadium.
