Arsenal compete with Man City for 18-year-old English Granit Xhaka
By Kian Long
Arsenal and Man City will soon compete again, but this time in the transfer market as they both target the 18-year-old English Granit Xhaka.
Some say that Arsenal feel the effect of losing Granit Xhaka in the summer. Although Kai Havertz is trying to fill the role and could so so in the future, at the moment it still looks like he struggles to acclimatise to the midfield role.
Although, he did do very well when he came off the bench against Man City at the weekend. In true Granit Xhaka fashion, Havertz knocked down the ball in the opposing box to lay off Gabriel Martinelli, who won the game.
All of this is relevant to today’s transfer story. See, Arsenal and Manchester City are set to compete to sign a player who is VERY similar to Granit Xhaka. Except he’s 18 years old and has potential to play for the England international team.
Arsenal rival Man City for the English Granit Xhaka
According to The Athletic, Arsenal will compete with Man City and Burnley for the signing of 18-year-old MLS talent Noel Buck. The midfielder, who has English and American citizenship, is tipped to be one of the best young talents in the States right now, so it’s no wonder he received interest from some of the best Premier League sides.
Noel Buck is a physical presence for the New England Revolution. He is a box-to-box midfielder who is composed with the ball at his feet. Often, he finds himself in promising positions in the opposition’s box and has a killer shot in his locker. That said, he could easily fulfil the same role which Xhaka filled last season for Arsenal.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are targeting another 18-year-old who could unlock Declan Rice.
Do you think Noel Buck will play in the Premier League soon?
