Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Victor Osimhen, but only if Mikel Arteta parts ways with Gabriel Jesus. Here are 3 reasons why that’s a good idea.

3 reasons for Arsenal to consider Gabriel Jesus & Victor Osimhen swap
With this in mind, here are 3 reasons why Arsenal should offer Jesus as part of the swap deal…
1. Victor Osimhen guarantees goals where Gabriel Jesus doesn’t
It’s important to weigh up the pros and cons of each striker. When doing so, a massive pull factor is that only one of them is an out-and-out striker.
Victor Osimhen is the biggest goal threat, since Gabriel Jesus tends to operate best when playing out wide. Since Arsenal are stacked on wide players, this makes Jesus a better option at centre forward since he tops Nketiah. However, if it were a three-way battle at centre forward between Osimhen, Jesus and Nketiah – There’s only one winner and that’s Osimhen.
Across all competitions, Osimhen scored 31 goals and provided 5 assists last season. This is compared to Jesus who scored just 11 goals and provided 8 assists.
Part of the reason could be due to Jesus’ injury record. Let’s compare the two striker’s injury history by operating the button below.
