Man City: Erling Haaland’s bust-up was the most he contributed vs Arsenal
By Kian Long
As footage emerged after Arsenal vs Man City, Erling Haaland was seen involved in a bust-up with Arsenal staff. It’s a shame that was the only time he contributed.
Arsenal got the upper-hand in the title race yesterday. While they still sit second, they are tied with Spurs on points AND goal difference. The important factor about yesterday’s results was that Arsenal finally overturned their hoodoo against title contenders Man City. This could be a pivotal moment for them not only for the current title race, but their future.
Erling Haaland only contributed to a bust-up in Arsenal 1-0 Man City
One player who was predicted to have a massive game was Erling Haaland. It goes without saying that the Norwegian international is always a goal threat and he’s a big reason as to why the Citizens won the treble last season.
I mean this as no disrespect to one of the best strikers in the world, but the only thing that was “massive” about his performance was the off-field bust up after the game. He and his teammate Kyle Walker got a little bit angry to a member of the Arsenal staff.
Nicolas Jover, who is the set piece coach at Arsenal, formerly of Manchester City, appeared to get Walker’s tempers flared, to which he was backed by Haaland.
It’s just a shame that this was the only time that Erling Haaland was genuinely involved in the game. He was abysmal throughout the entire match as he was nullified by William Saliba (not for the first time, by the way).
Haaland will probably score a hat-trick after the international break, to which case I WON’T eat my words. The truth remains, Haaland should have absolutely done better against Arsenal at the weekend, but he was bullied by the two centre backs throughout the entire match.
What did you make of Arsenal 1-0 Man City?
