Substitutes

SUB: Christian Eriksen (6/10)

As always, whenever Christian Eriksen comes onto the pitch for Manchester United, they look like a completely different team. This was another great outing for Eriksen as since he came onto the pitch, Manchester United looked a different team completely.

SUB: Alejandro Garnacho (6.5/10)

Since Garnacho came on, Manchester United looked far better in the left wing. Rashford wasn’t offering anything from there. However, Garnacho’s cutback resulted in that equalizer for United. He is a star in the making at Old Trafford.

SUB: Anthony Martial (6/10)

Anthony Martial should have scored the winner. However, he hit that shot straight to the hands of the Brentford keeper. However, since he came on, he looked lively. It is hard to praise Martial as in the next game, fans might see him dropping his shoulders. But, in this game, he was good.

SUB: Antony (6/10)

Manchester United really missed Antony. When he came on in the second half and took charge of the right-wing, United looked far more threatening to get an equalizer. It wasn’t a brilliant game for Antony, but he showed why Man Utd need their Brazilian winger.

SUB: Scott Mctominay (7/10) – Man of the match

Hardly a substitute who comes on in the 87th minute of the game would get a man of the match. However, when a team is down 1-0, and a player comes on towards the end of the game and scores twice to win the game for the losing team, it would be an injustice not to give him the man of the match. So, for McTominay, this was a game where he would be revered by United fans.
