Troubled Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has made his future wishes known to the club. Will he stay or will he go?

Alexa, play “Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash.

This is a question which has certainly circulated in the head of Jadon Sancho. After he was given his final ultimatum by the club, which essentially translated to apologise or leave, it appears the England international has opted for the latter.

Jadon Sancho wants to leave Manchester United for Dortmund in January

According to a report by 90min, Jadon Sancho would like to rejoin his former club Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window. This isn’t a decision which Manchester United are likely to oppose, given his off-field issues with manager Erik ten Hag.

In many ways, this is the best case scenario for all parties. The player will return to familiar settings to develop his career, Manchester United will clear some deadwood who isn’t good enough to represent the club and Dortmund will get back a player who is very capable of fitting into their system.

Long story short, Sancho’s return to the English top flight has been a complete failure. It definitely wasn’t helped by off-field issues, but if he played well enough when given the opportunities, those issues wouldn’t have happened.

Certainly, United fans would’ve hoped for better when he signed. But they can’t cry over spilled milk, instead, they must focus on what’s ahead. With United pursuing Kaoru Mitoma as Sancho’s replacement, the future could certainly be brighter at Old Trafford.

In other news, we have suggested five players who could come in and replace Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.

Who do you think Erik ten Hag should sign to replace Jadon Sancho?
