With Manchester City’s visit just a few days away, a journalist who is closely linked to Arsenal has provided an update on the worrying Bukayo Saka injury.

Arsenal face a visit from the champions Manchester City in just a few days. Initially, it was thought that Arsenal had the advantage in this game given their competitor’s injury concerns. However, the Gunners have their own Bukayo Saka injury worry to deal with.

The England winger was involved in midweek action for Arsenal in the Champions League. While his start was controversial, given he’s suffered a few knocks in recent games, Mikel Arteta opted to play him. Not long into the match, he was forced off through a muscular injury.

Charles Watts shares an update on Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka injury

According to the journalist Charles Watts, who is trusted within the Arsenal community, there has been some updates to come “out from the camp”. Speaking on YouTube, Watts had the following to say:

"“It’s pretty clear that it is a hamstring issue, those are the initial reports that are coming out from the camp after the game against Lens on Tuesday night. If that is the case, even if he is fit to play this weekend, if there is a way he is fit to feature, do you have to be cautious anyway. He’s limped off in his last three games, as much as we want him to play against Man City, it may be best to leave him out. If there is a doubt over a hamstring I don’t think you can risk it because it will just go, if it’s half gone already, it will just go,” – Charles Watts on Bukayo Saka injury (quoted by TBR)"

Certainly, the word “cautious” isn’t in Mikel Arteta’s vocabulary when it comes to Bukayo Saka. He has a tendency to start the England forward, regardless of the risk factor involved. This is just part of becoming one of the best players in the world – you don’t miss games.
