Manchester United have had a whole host of problems very early on this season, and one of the biggest talking points is what will be next for Jadon Sancho. As The Top Flight has extensively covered, Jadon Sancho has been banished from United’s first-team after refusing to apologize to manager Erik ten Hag after Sancho posted a tweet stating he felt he was a scapegoat. This came after Erik ten Hag had told the press that Sancho was dropped from the squad due to poor training in the build-up to Arsenal on September 3rd.

Now Manchester United face a serious task of deciding what is next to do with Jadon Sancho’s situation. The player has now gone over a month without playing for the senior side and looks to stay out of the picture for ten Hag for the time being.

Fabrizio Romano, via Caught Offside, states that Jadon Sancho has been given an ultimatum by Manchester United. The winger will only be re-integrated into training once he apologizes to Erik ten Hag and the coaching staff about their previous exchange. Romano further states that the English international could very well leave in this upcoming transfer window in January. A move away is now described as concrete, and discussions are taking place by United management about the possibility. As The Top Flight has covered, Sancho’s former club, Borussia Dortmund, could be looking to bring the player back to Germany in January.

Erik ten Hag himself is in a tough spot as Manchester United sit 10th in the Premier League and with no points in their Champions League group. It may not be time to panic yet about the Dutchman being sacked, but there is always the possibility Jadon Sancho returns to Manchester United via ten Hag and his coaching staff leaving the club.
