As Roberto De Zerbi travels to France in the second Europa League game of the season, here’s the Brighton predicted lineup vs Marseille.

Brighton predicted lineup vs Marseille

GK: Jason Steele – If the first match is anything to go by, then Jason Steele is the goalkeeper of choice in the Europa League. Certainly he’s a worthy backup and De Zerbi likes to rotate his goalkeepers. He’ll be looking for a confidence boost after conceding six in the last match, so I don’t think dropping him would be the right call.

RB: Tariq Lamptey – He was a sub in the previous Premier League match, so I assume De Zerbi has him in mind for this match. Lamptey is looking to prove himself as a starter in this Brighton side, so chances in the Europa League will be like gold dust to him.

CB: Igor – Wasn’t used at all at the weekend so the new signing will start in this match. He’s a solid choice for De Zerbi, but could do with improving his decision making. Experience on the big occasion will be handy for him.

CB: Jan Paul van Hecke – Affording some rest for Webster and Dunk, the reliable van Hecke will come in for De Zerbi’s side. He’s no stranger to the competition since he started in the opening UEL match.

LB: Pervis Estupinan – He didn’t play much at the weekend because, frankly, he was awful in that match. But that’s not his usual self and De Zerbi will trust him to bounce back in this match.
