Manchester United winger Antony will resume training at Carrington and will be available for selection according to an official club statement recently made.

Manchester United had a very bad start to their season losing so many games. They also failed to continue their winning streak at Old Trafford when Brighton beat them at the Theatre of Dreams. The spat between the manager Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho didn’t help the course either. And, to pile up the misery, Antony had to be sidelined because of some allegations made against the Brazilian winger. It was a very tough time for Man Utd as a club and the fans stuck with the manager and now they are reaping rewards. United won back-to-back games against Burnley and Crystal Palace. Now, Manchester United has published an official statement to announce the return of their Brazilian winger who will now train at Carrington and will also be available for selection.

Antony returns: Manchester United issues official statement

In an official statement published on ManUtd.com, the club announced;

"“As Antony’s employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington, and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed. This will be kept under review pending further developments in the case.”"

United also acknowledges Antony’s cooperation with the investigating authorities by mentioning;

"“Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has co-operated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so.”"

Man United also made clear their stance on violence and abuse in that statement saying;

"“As a club, we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognise the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation, and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse.”"
