Arsenal: 3 strikers who Mikel Arteta could sign – Including £104m machine
By Kian Long
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a tough conundrum on his hands. Luckily for fans, that conundrum is deciding between 3 exceptional strikers.
There is an increasing need for Arsenal to sign a new striker. Unfortunately, it’s become clear at the start of this season that their two options just aren’t good enough for a title contending side. Gabriel Jesus is best utilised out wide and is very injury prone, whereas Eddie Nketiah has it all except the ability to finish his dinner.
3 strikers who Mikel Arteta could sign at Arsenal
With that in mind, here are the three choices I propose to Mikel Arteta as his striker options.
1. Ivan Toney
Perhaps the most available option on this list. The Brentford striker is after a new club when he returns to action from his FA-endorsed ban. According to a claim by John Cross, Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Toney and would have “almost certainly” attempted to sign him in the summer had he been available.
Toney is a composed finish, an excellent penalty taker and is proven in the Premier League. Certainly, he would fit the bill which Arteta is after to fill the missing hole and bag plenty of goals.
