Chelsea has been without a shirt sponsor since they cut ties with Three, and an announcement is expected with their new sponsor soon.

After just two seasons with the UK telecommunications company Three as a shirt sponsor for Chelsea, they decided to let that deal run its short contract up at the end of the 22/23 season. With the way Chelsea and Todd Bohley are spending money, it’s no shock to see that their search for a new kit sponsor seems to have concluded, after playing the first month of the Premier League without a name on their jerseys to help bring in extra revenue to the club.

With Chelsea previously earning roughly £40 million per year with Three, they stand to lose a significant amount of income for the club should they not find their next sponsor. Now, reports suggest that the club is set to receive approval from the Premier League for Infinite Athlete, a sports tech company, to take center stage on Chelsea’s jerseys.

With other rumors circling such as Paramount + and even Stake.com, becoming the new sponsor for Chelsea FC, ultimately both fan backlash and Premier League disapproval have led them to land on Infinite Athlete, and they look set to make the same amount per year as with previous company Three.

No doubt, this deal will provide some form of a sigh of relief for Chelsea owner Todd Bohley and the rest of the owners, as Chelsea’s performances on the pitch have been far below their standards. With only 1 win so far this season, sitting in a lowly 14th place, and no goals so far in the month of September for their first team, they needed a pick-me-up of sorts. While this may not be what the fans were hoping for, this will surely appease the higher-ups within The Blues, as they can now turn their sole focus to what is happening on the pitch and hope that Pochettino can get this group of players to pick up some form heading into a dreadful run of games that could play a massive part in where they finish this season ( and who remains in charge of the club).
