After his poor start to the season, Manchester United could consider replacing goalkeeper Andre Onana. To do so, Erik ten Hag has shortlisted this world class option.

Manchester United haven’t had the best start to the season. After Erik ten Hag’s opening six fixtures, his side are ninth in the table. While there is still time to climb up the table, he will be disappointed by the performances shown by his players, particularly the new signings who were brought in to change the club’s fate.

One summer signing who is receiving all the negative spotlight, and rightly so, is the Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana. When he was signed, the idea was that he would transcend the tactical vision at United since he was much better with the ball at his feet than David De Gea. Fast forward a few months, and United are being mocked for letting De Gea leave as a free agent.

Manchester United eye Jan Oblak to replace Andre Onana

According to a revelation from Fichajes, Manchester United have shortlisted Jan Oblak as a potential Andre Onana replacement. While it’s not set in stone that they will seek a replacement just yet, the new signing’s review may be made closer to January. Long story short, if he wants to keep his place at his new club, his performances have to improve.

Jan Oblak is a world class goalkeeper and one who has been of interest to United for a long time now. It’s no wonder that all the best teams in the world would love to sign him since he consistently pulls out remarkable saves and would transform any team.

Do you think Manchester United will sign Jan Oblak to replace Andre Onana?
