To avoid any further frustration, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to sell this “world class” but injury prone midfielder in January.

Liverpool have had a great start to the season and have truly cemented their status as title contenders this season. Jurgen Klopp has certainly got the club back on track since their poor first half of last season.

In many ways, the new midfield signings are to thank. Although Klopp was forced into bolstering his midfielder in the summer, this investment has already paid dividends, with the new midfield recruits starring at the beginning of this season.

Although, this does leave many to forget about Thiago Alcantara. The 32-year-old midfielder is yet to make an appearance this season, after continuing a spell which has been plagued by injuries since he signed from Bayern Munich. Truthfully, Thiago did start life at Anfield well and looked full of promise when he first signed but now he’s on the treatment table more often than the pitch.

Liverpool will sell Thiago Alcantara in January for a “big” offer

With that being said, Liverpool are willing to accept offers for the midfielder in January. Given that his current Anfield deal only runs until the summer, the last thing the club would want is to lose him on a free deal. After all, as a self-sustained club, each penny is important.

According to Football Insider, though, it would take a “big” offer to convince Jurgen Klopp to sell. Currently, talks over a new deal are happening, but this will depend on his availability to be used in the first team.

Do you think Liverpool will sell Thiago Alcantara or tie him down to a new contract?
