From Champions League action to Premier League action, Pep Guardiola will rotate again. Here’s the Manchester City predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest.

I’m not sure when Ortega will get minutes but in the Premier League, Ederson is the number one choice. Therefore, he will start again. The Brazil international will be covered by a solid centre back partnership which includes Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias, with Dias subbed off in the Champions League fixture, it’s likely that Pep has him in mind for the fixture against Forest.

At right back-back, as tempting as it is to start Walker every match (especially in this form), I would expect Rico Lewis to start this match. It’s a like for like replacement as the youngster came on as a sub in the Champions League. At left-back, Josko Gvardiol could do a good job in this fixture.

It remains to be seen whether Bernardo Silva is injured after he was subbed in the first half against Belgrade. Still, I wouldn’t expect Pep to start him for precautionary reasons. Instead, Matheus Nunes has earned a start following his good performance in midweek. Then, I expect Rodri and Julian Alvarez to keep their places.

On the right wing, it will be Phil Foden, who has been a good asset for Pep Guardiola this season. Then, off the left I would expect Jeremy Doku to make his second successive Premier League start, as he was the star of the show in City’s come back against West Ham.

I don’t need to run through my obvious striker pick, do I? We all know it’s going to be Erling Haaland and after he didn’t score in midweek, there’s a high likelihood he’ll net a hat-trick against Forest.
