Manchester United are in dire need of signing a winger. In their previous match against Brighton and Hove Albion, Erik ten Hag was forced to play Marcus Rashford in his unnatural position again and it showed. Given the exile of Jadon Sancho and the suspension of Antony, it’s understandable that the Red Devils are struggling in this position currently.

But fear not, as the Dutch manager has devised a plan to strengthen in this position and I feel like fans are going to like this one.

Manchester United shortlist failed Arsenal prodigy Serge Gnabry

According to the Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manchester United are preparing a bid worth around £52m to convince Bayern Munich to part ways with Serge Gnabry. The 28-year-old versatile attacker is under contract at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2026.

Let’s not forget that the two titans Manchester United and Bayern Munich come up against each other tomorrow night in the Champions League. While it’s a mere coincidence that the interest has emerged on the previous day, who knows whether there could be some early behind the scenes talks between the two clubs.

Once a youngster at Arsenal, the Germany winger has experience playing in the Premier League. Certainly he was a promising prospect at the club but since then, he has gone on to achieve great things.

Winning the Bundesliga five times and also the Champions League, he’s definitely a high-calibre player. Therefore, I see the £52m bid as optimistic from United’s perspective, but everybody knows they have more money so they could win any bidding battle.
