Fabrizio Romano confirms new Manchester United deal for “biggest talent”
By Kian Long
Manchester United are in agony at the moment. Everybody at the club, from the manager to the fans, know that the one-great club is in turmoil and they must do something to combat it. However, it isn’t all doom and gloom at the club, for there are certain seeds which are being planted for the long-term future of United.
Manchester United grant professional contract for Gabriele Biancheri
Indeed, as reported on X today by the trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, youngster Gabriele Biancheri has penned his first professional contract with Manchester United, meaning he is available in the first-team.
Described by some as the “biggest talent” in the academy, it’s justified that Erik ten Hag has granted the 17-year-old a call up to the professional squad. Indeed, for the U18 so far this season, he has already netted a goal in two appearances.
It remains to be seen how Ten Hag sees Biancheri’s development plan. However, given their lack of options in the winger department, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the young centre forward developed into a winger. Certainly, he has the speed and footballing intelligence to try out this new position.
Manchester United prepare to travel to the Allianz Arena tomorrow night amid their return to the Champions League. They face Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich in a tough opening fixture. Given the state of the club at the moment, it’s difficult to see Erik ten Hag coming away with anything more than a point. Still, I’ll happily eat my words if they do.
What do you make of Gabriele Biancheri’s new Manchester United deal?
