Arsenal predicted lineup vs PSV: Mikel Arteta to drop “Henry-esque” winger
By Kian Long
As the Gunners prepare to host PSV for the second season in a row, this time in the Champions League, there are some big calls for Mikel Arteta to make. With that in mind, here’s our Arsenal predicted lineup vs PSV.

Kicking off the controversial calls is the goal keeper decision. Since Raya was given the nod against Everton, I cannot see Aaron Ramsdale on the bench for two games in a row. If anything, Ramsdale being benched against Everton ensured he will start against PSV.
At right-back, I would expect Takehiro Tomiyasu to get the nod. While White did play the full match against Everton, he is the most likely defender to be rested and Tomiyasu is worthy of filling in. An unchanged centre back partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is expected, with Oleksandr Zinchenko also reclaiming his spot.
In the midfield, Declan Rice will hold the defensive line as he did excellently against Everton. I would expect Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz to provide the attacking edge, since Havertz was a substitute against Everton. Vieira played well, but on the big occasion, I think Arteta would prefer to use Havertz who has great Champions League credentials.
The attacking line is where things get complicated. Martinelli started the match against Everton and even scored a disallowed goal. However, despite the injury not looking serious, I would expect Arteta to play Leandro Trossard, the goal-scorer and super-sub against Everton, in this match. Further, Gabriel Jesus should come into the starting XI, with Bukayo Saka keeping his place as he often does.
