The launch of the new EA FC 24 game is just around the corner. With plenty of fans begging their partners to buy the game for them, the new Spurs signing James Maddison has added to the hype by campaigning for EA to grant Arsenal’s new signing a HIGHER rating. I know, who would’ve thought that a Spurs player would be in defence of a Gunner?

Spurs’ James Maddison defends Arsenal star Declan Rice’s shooting ability

Well, according to The Boot Room, James Maddison has argued that Declan Rice’s shooting rating in the game is a “disgrace”. It’s rumoured that Rice’s shooting ability has been rated by EA as 65, so a little above average. However, Maddison thinks that Rice deserves a higher rating than that, having seen him shoot in training a lot with the England international team.

Indeed, Declan Rice showcased his shooting ability with a near-post shot against Manchester United. It was a winning goal in injury time which granted Mikel Arteta a return on his investment via capping off a dramatic win for Arsenal.

Arsenal fans expect to see some significant upgrades on their team’s players from last season. Of course, although they didn’t win anything last season, the Gunners had an amazing season and after qualifying for the Champions League for the first time post-Wenger, it’s expected that their players will be rated highly.

Declan Rice is the most expensive player that Arsenal have ever signed. However, such an investment was necessary since the European champion has exactly the right attributes which Mikel Arteta needs to field his strongest eleven this season. Already, he has contributed more than enough to warrant his big price tag in the biggest game of the season so far.

Do you think Declan Rice deserves a higher rating than 65 for his shooting?
