Manchester City will make the trip to London on September 16th when they take on West Ham United. Unsurprisingly, Manchester City have yet to lose this season in the Premier League, winning four out of four. Don’t count out West Ham, though, who sit fourth in the table having yet to lose. The Top Flight provides our Manchester City predicted lineup for their fixture against the Hammers.
No surprise here, but Ederson will be starting against West Ham. The Brazilian was recently nominated for Best FIFA Men’s Keeper for 2023.
Kyle Walker, who has just signed an extension with Man City, should get the start out at right-back. The rest of the back line will be made up of Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake. It’s pretty impressive to say your entire backline was playing international football for very respectable footballing nations over the break.
The midfield will undoubtedly feature Bernardo Silva and Rodri. Mateo Kovacic is still dealing with a knock and is unlikely to be back for this fixture. Julian Alvarez will be playing a role that sort of resembles a midfield position, but he will be joining the attack as a striker very often. Kevin De Bruyne will be sidelined until 2024 and Pep Guardiola will play with an unconventional midfield for the time being.
The wings will be filled out with Phil Foden and newcomer Jeremy Doku, who started against Fulham. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out who will be starting for Man City up top. Erling Haaland, who will have a very good shot at winning the Best FIFA Men’s Player, will once again be the main man for the entire City squad.
