Manchester United predicted lineup vs Brighton: Full debut for Hojlund
By Kian Long
Manchester United come up against Brighton and Hove Albion in an important Premier League fixture. After having some time to recuperate in the international break, Erik ten Hag NEEDS a win in this match as things look bleak at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have the advantage in this match as they are the home team, but Brighton have had a much better start to the season. With that being said, here’s my Manchester United predicted lineup.

Manchester United predicted lineup vs Brighton
Starting between the sticks is obviously Andre Onana. In the last Premier League match against Arsenal, he was United’s best player and described by pundit Gary Neville as “the best outfield player for United”. He will be covered by a defensive partnering of Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez, both of which are deemed fit to play in this match.
On the left hand side of the defence, it will be Diogo Dalot who was exceptional against Arsenal. Being put to sleep by Jesus in the last minute wasn’t reflective of his performance as a whole. On the right will be Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose defensive excellence will be required against one of the best left-wingers in the Premier League, Kaoru Mitoma.
In the midfield pivot will be Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. I don’t think Erik ten Hag will make the midfield change, despite Sofyan Amrabat being declared fit to play in this match. Of course, the attacking midfielder will be Bruno Fernandes, who will captain United in this important fixture.
The winger situation is where things get sticky. Jadon Sancho isn’t likely to play for United again, and neither is Antony with his pending legal case. One thing we do know for sure, though, is Marcus Rashford has gone this international break injury free, so he’ll start this match on the left-wing. On the right, I can only assume it will be Alejandro Garnacho who steps in.
Leading the attacking line will be a full debut for Rasmus Hojlund, who came on as a sub in the last match, making United’s attack look much better.
