Arsenal fans have been treated to some stellar displays from their 18 players on international duty. However, none will please them more than the performance of Kai Havertz against Spain last night.

Arsenal star Kai Havertz impresses on international duty

That’s right. The £65m player had an exceptional display when he came off the bench for his country. Not only did he provide the essential assist with a beautiful pass to Leroy Sane, bue he had an overall good impact on the match when coming off from the bench.

Amid all the hatred which is being pushed to Kai Havertz since he signed for Arsenal for £65m, he’ll be happy to pick up some form during the international break. Of course, his aim will be to transcend this form into Premier League football, as the Gunners face a tough visit to Everton on Sunday afternoon. Further, in mid-week, they return to Champions League action against PSV.

Havertz’ display yesterday might inspire Mikel Arteta to use him in this role, coming off the bench to change the game with his immense creativity. However, Arteta does see him as more of a starter, particularly with Thomas Partey ruled out through injury.

Admittedly, a lot of the involvements made by Kai Havertz tend to go unnoticed. Much like Mesut Ozil was, he’s not the kind of player who you’d see at the centre of play, providing goals and assists every single match. Instead, he’s more determined to put in the work behind the scenes and orchestrate some fine movements and excellent positioning. This tends to go unnoticed by fans who only watch the highlights and get their opinions from social media.

Do you think Kai Havertz was a good signing from Arsenal?
