With the transfer window remaining open in Turkey for another few days, there’s still expected to be movement for some clubs in the Premier League. Given the inflated size of Chelsea’s squad and many players unsettled, even under the new manager Mauricio Pochettino, they could let at least one more player go before the end of the week.

Chelsea prepared to sell Malang Sarr to Turkey this week

According to a new report from Football Insider, Chelsea are prepared to let Malang Sarr leave the club, with sides in Turkey lining up to sign him. It’s thought that Mauricio Pochettino has given the green light for the player to be sold, seeing no future for him at Stamford Bridge.

Since the Argentine boss was unveiled as the new manager, he has had to be ruthless with his decision making. Truth be told, Mauricio Pochettino inherited a mess when he landed the opening in London. Therefore, he has been forced with the task of tenacity and ruthless sales to balance the squad.

Given the mess he started with, you could argue that Pochettino has actually done a good job so far as a manager. But with just one win on the board and sitting 12th in the Premier League table after four games, this just shows how bad of a situation Chelsea are in when we describe this bare minimum management as being “good”.

From the player’s perspective, this will be a great move. While his transfer business has been left late, there are some great clubs in Turkey who would be happy to accommodate his move. At this point, moving anywhere else from Chelsea is the best thing to do for this development, as he enters the prime stage of his career.

Do you think Malang Sarr will be a success in Turkey?
