Everton are in dire straits at the moment. After Sean Dyche helped them to avoid relegation last season, they are one of the favourites to go down this season. Unfortunately for Dyche, he didn’t make the right recruitments in the summer transfer window and it could end up costing him this season.
They haven’t started this season well, either. Picking up only a draw from their opening four matches of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign isn’t a good display for a team who in recent history were known for pushing the top six teams. For the honest family club, it’s a shame to see their great and historic side treated like this. With the faith of the fans, though, I hope to see them bounce back.
As for the transfer window, it’s not over for Sean Dyche. Unfortunately, though, at this stage he can only lose players, and one significant player could be on his way out.
Demarai Gray in final stages of Everton move to Al-Ettifaq
According to the expert Fabrizio Romano, the versatile forward Demarai Gray is in the final stages of his move to El-Ettifaq. The Saudi Pro League side, who are managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard are close to securing a four-year deal for Gray, who already gave the green light for the deal to go ahead.
Gray is out-of-favour at Everton. Granted, it doesn’t seem like the best relationship between him and Dyche but to sign for one of the biggest enemies of Everton, Steven Gerrard, won’t go down well with fans of the Toffees.
What do you think of this move?
