Manchester United, despite their personal transfer window closing last week, have their work cut out for them. Erik ten Hag still has some work to do in the way of transfers out, with his main task being to find a new home for Donny van de Beek.

I won’t go too much into detail about Van De Beek’s time at Manchester United. I feel like this is a case of “the less said, the better.” But what I will say is that I hope he finds the right club where he can excel. After all, it seems like he’s the right player at the wrong club currently. Ageing at 26 years old, Donny van de Beek can still make something of his career, but he’s aware it must happen outside of Manchester.

Manchester United have time to flip Donny van de Beek to Saudi Arabia

According to a new report from The Sun, Manchester United are still trying to flip Donny van de Beek to the Saudi Pro League. With the Saudi Arabian transfer market closing on Thursday, they still have time to find the right deal for their midfielder.

Given that Saudi Arabia is a developing league and developing transfer market, this move could appeal to them. After all, they may be home to some of the best players in the world but many of them are ageing and close to retirement, so to sign a player entering the peak of his career and fitness would be beneficial to the Pro League.

Erik ten Hag hasn’t tried hard to reinstate the Dutch midfielder into his setup, which I think tells the tale of his relationship with the midfielder. Unfortunately, it was just a transfer which didn’t work out.

Do you think Donny van de Beek will be a success if he moves to the Saudi Pro League?
